WVBF HIRES FLORIAN URFER
Active in the redeployment of sport athletes!


Lausanne, 27 June 2007 - Holder of the highest degree in youth sport, a T.A diploma from Swiss Volley, and presently studying Type – Action management which involves typology, communications and sport, Florian Urfer has joined the WVBF (World Volleyball and Beach Volleyball Federation) executive team.

International Swiss junior, three times Swiss champion with the LUC (Lausanne University Club), Mr. Urfer holds an outstanding record with several participations in the European Cup – one season in the champions’ league with Lutry-Lavaux – and one selection on the Swiss national Team for the World University Games in Beijing.

For many years now, together with his club, Martigny, he has contributed towards Volleyball development in the Swiss canton of Valais and participated actively in the promotion of Martigny to the Swiss national league.

“His technical knowledge, his commitment and his charisma for sport development are priceless, and in his new position as assistant to the President, we welcome him to our WVBF family with open arms,” declared Jean-Pierre Seppey, WVBF President.

“I am thrilled to join the WVBF and to be able to share my knowledge and experience and to contribute towards the development of this extraordinary sport. The whole WVBF team has given me a very warm welcome. I fully embrace the ethical and Olympic values of this new World Beach Volleyball and Volleyball Federation and I am convinced that with this ethical approach of development we will make great achievements”, declared Florian Urfer.
