World Beach Volleyball in Lugano- Pregassona

24 - 25 - 26 August 2007

In a few days, the World Volleyball and Beach Volleyball Federation (WVBF) will organize with the collaboration of the Swiss Volleyball and Beach Volleyball Union (USVB) and with the Sport Department of Lugano City, the Swiss leg of the WVBF-Proseries World Championship Tour.

The Beach Volleyball feast will be open and free of charge to everybody from Friday 24 August at the Beach Campus, Maraini Street, with very attractive competitions and entertainment programs.

With the Golden Gala formula, the best world pairs will participate. It is a great opportunity for the Beach Volleyball fans in Ticino and in Lugano to admire them.

The sports program will begin Friday at 6 PM; during the night the women players’ exhibitions « Ladies of the Beach » will be held with the participation of the very well known Denise Koelliker (Switzerland) and Angie Gonzales (Brazil). Handsome cheerleaders will dance during the competitions!

Furthermore, Beach Volleyball clinics will be organized for children by the WVBF-Proseries players and officials on Saturday, 25th August and Sunday 26th August from 2 PM on. The competitions program will continue on Saturday at 4 PM and on Sunday at 5 PM with the Medal Ceremony at 10.30 PM.

On Saturday, Radio 3iii will animate the event and on Sunday morning you will appreciate Beach Tennis exhibitions.

An event in the event: Friday and Saturday night, at the end of the competitions, a huge feast will start with food, beverage and disco music mixed by DJ Max.
